What was new in August 2023?
Added Social Links to the Society’s Facebook and Instagram sites at the top and bottom of the home page.
Replaced incomplete copy of Robert Pattison’s 1939 “History of Briarcliff Manor” (originally found online, but missing pages) in the Historic Documents section, with a new scan of the complete original document that we recently unearthed.
Added a new Gallery: The Sandi Schneider Collection containing 30 black and white pictures of the Briarcliff Lodge during the 1920’s when it was leased by Walter W. Law to Chauncey Depew Steele, whose daughter Sandi Schneider gave them to the BMSHS in 2015.
Added a new video: Go to Blazes!, A 1929 film (converted to video) of the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department Responding to a call. Our thanks to Peter Guilmette who transferred the original film to digital media and provided us with a DVD.
In the website Main Menu changed Reflections under the Stories item to Reminiscences to more accurately reflect the content.
Added a search bar on all top-level pages.
Added a new Notebook for the recently deceased artist, Brice Marden who grew up in Briarcliff Manor, and whose family lived in Briarcliff and Ossining for more than 50 years.

Added 2015 video: Dear Sandy - Historical Societies Add Value where New York Assemblywoman Sandy Galef speaks with BMSHS Executive Director and Briarcliff Manor Village Historian, Karen Smith and Jeff Canning.
Added to our Important Documents page, a new Trifold Brochure explaining the BMSHS mission, activities, location, as well as providing opportunities for internships and volunteering, contact information, and ways of contributing. If you have a printer capable of printing double sided, you can print the file (double sided, flip pages on short edge) and then fold.
